Safety and Health, Improvement Activities, Skill Enhancement , Environmental Initiatives
Introduction to Various Activities
Certified by the Japan Industrial Safety and Health Association (JISHA). We actively conduct safety and health activities, including a monthly internal safety patrol system.
In fiscal year 2023, the number of annual improvements exceeded 1,000. We are continually enhancing safety, quality, and efficiency on a daily basis.
The results of these activities are reflected in personnel evaluations and bonuses, contributing to increased employee motivation.
We visualize the skill levels of each individual, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and set yearly themes to focus on improving and passing down technical skills.
We actively participate in various contests, pursue qualifications, and engage in manufacturing with new technologies.
Our efforts in new technologies and various activities have been recognized, earning us the Komatsu Grand Partner Award three times! (Additionally, we have received one other division association award.)
As part of our environmental initiatives, we have installed solar power generation systems utilizing the roofs of the Koga Factory and Ibaraki Factory.
As an example of energy-saving measures, most of the mercury lamps in the factory have been replaced with LEDs.
Personnel Evaluation System
At our company, we enhance the transparency of personnel evaluations by disclosing our unique guidelines, ensuring that employees find the process fair and satisfactory.
Each indicator is quantified and systematically reflected in salary increases and bonuses.
This alignment between the company's goals and those of the employees allows them to work with motivation and commitment.
CSR Activities (Corporate Social Responsibility)
On-Site Welding Classes
Teaching Young People the Joy of Manufacturing and Inspiring Them to Pursue a Career in the Industry
In collaboration with local high schools, we conduct on-site welding classes.
Two of our welding department supervisors serve as instructors, providing eight 4-hour classes annually.
These classes have been featured in various media and have been very well received by students and stakeholders alike.
Free Distribution of Disinfectant Water (Strong Alkaline Electrolyzed Water)
Let's Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 as Much as Possible!!
As a measure against COVID-19 and with the desire to "be of help to everyone in any way possible," we are distributing "Disinfectant Water" (pH 12.5 strong alkaline electrolyzed water) produced by our facilities to our employees, business partners, and nearby residents free of charge.
Additionally, as part of our social responsibility, we are thoroughly disinfecting our premises daily to ensure that "production never stops."
Distribution Record: 2.2 tons (as of May 2020)
Koga Factory "Great Zelkova" Winter Illumination
We want to be a company that the community enjoys and loves.
At the entrance of our Koga Factory stands a great zelkova tree, approximately 12 meters tall.
The road in front of the factory is a major thoroughfare connecting the National Route 4 Bypass directly to JR Koga Station, resulting in heavy traffic. However, at night, there are few noticeable lights.
Therefore, during the winter season, we have decorated this great zelkova tree with illuminations to bring enjoyment to the community. The calm blue lights have been well received by passersby.
Code of Conduct and the Five Principles of Compliance
In September 2021, we decided to disclose on this website the "President's Message on Code of Conduct and Compliance" and the "Full Text of the Code of Conduct" that were established for our company and employees. We will strive to become a more open and trusted company in society.
President's Message and the Five Principles of Compliance
To Continue Being a Trusted Company in Society
For a company to develop sustainably, it is necessary not only to improve performance and enhance managerial soundness and transparency but also to become a trusted entity in society by adhering to the rules of the business community. These rules extend beyond the narrow scope of legal compliance to include generally respected societal norms.
In today's context, where the importance of a company's role in society is increasing, it is essential that each employee fully recognizes the company's social responsibility and acts in a manner that meets societal expectations. This behavior has become a crucial part of the social rules.
Let us aim to create a safe, healthy workplace where employees can work with peace of mind, while adhering to the "rules of the business community" and becoming a company that is genuinely trusted by society.
